# API keys

> Create personal Olympus keys and manage workspace provider credentials

Open **Settings > API keys**. Personal **Olympus keys** give tools access to one workspace; **Provider keys** store credentials belonging to your workspace.

## Create an Olympus key

1. Open **Olympus keys** and select **Create API key**.
2. Enter **Name**, up to 100 characters, and choose **Organization**.
3. Select **Create API key**. Copy the full key before selecting **Done**.
4. Confirm its name, organization, and prefix appear in the list.

The full key appears only once. A key uses your current permissions in its organization. Demo workspaces cannot create keys. You can have up to 10 unrevoked keys; revoke an unused key before creating another at the limit.

Use **Search API keys** to find a key by name or prefix and review when it was last used. An older key with no organization cannot authenticate; replace it.

### Revoke a key

Select **Revoke**, then **Revoke API key**. Tools using that key lose access immediately. Revocation cannot be undone; create a replacement key if needed.

## Add a provider key

You need Owner or Admin access to manage provider keys.

1. Open **Provider keys** and select **Add provider key**.
2. Choose OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, or **Another provider**. Another provider requires **Provider name**.
3. Paste the **API key** and select **Add provider key**. Olympus encrypts it and shows only a masked prefix later.

One key is stored per provider in each workspace. Adding the same provider again replaces its saved key.

**Replace** lets you enter a new secret for that provider. **Remove > Remove key** removes the credential from Olympus; it does not revoke the key at the provider.

Saving a provider key does not select a model or automatically change how AI tasks are billed or routed.
