# Appearance

> Choose the app theme and save a custom accent color

Open **Settings > Appearance** to change the app's theme and accent color.

## Choose a theme

Select **System**, **Light**, or **Dark**. The change applies immediately. System follows your device appearance.

In the app, **Cmd+M** on Mac or **Ctrl+M** on Windows and Linux switches between light and dark. The documentation has its own theme switch.

## Set an accent color

1. Under **Accent Color**, choose **Default** for the monochrome accent or **Custom** for the color picker.
2. Pick a color and select **Save**. It becomes the active accent and appears among your saved colors.
3. Select a saved swatch to apply it immediately. Use its delete action to remove it.

Deleting the active custom color restores Default. Closing the picker without Save discards the draft.

Theme and accent choices are stored in this browser. They do not synchronize through your account preferences.
