# MCP

> Connect external AI clients to one Olympus workspace and manage their access

MCP lets an external AI client use Olympus tools with your workspace permissions.

## Connect a client

1. Open **Settings > MCP**.
2. Select **Connect** beside Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok. Olympus copies the server URL and opens the client. For another client, use **Custom** to copy the URL.
3. In the client, add the copied Olympus endpoint and start its OAuth connection.
4. On the Olympus consent page, check **Signed in as**, choose **Workspace**, and select **Allow connection**. Use **Not you?** to change accounts or **Decline** to cancel.
5. Return to **Saved connections** and confirm an active connection appears.

Copying the URL alone does not authorize the client. Only workspaces you can access and that are eligible for connection appear in consent.

For CLI examples and bearer-key setup, see [Connect ChatGPT, Codex and Claude](/modules/integrations/mcp). Create fallback keys under [API keys](/modules/settings/api-keys).

## Review saved connections

The table shows client, workspace, granted date, last use, expiry, and status.

| Status | Next step |
| - | - |
| Active | The connection can use your permitted tools. |
| Expires soon | Start the connection again from the client before expiry. |
| Expired | Create a new connection from the client. |
| Workspace frozen | Restore workspace access before reconnecting. |
| Access lost | Ask a workspace administrator to restore your access. |

## Disconnect a client

Select **Disconnect** for the saved connection, then confirm **Disconnect**. That grant stops working. Other connections and personal API keys remain usable.
