# Pipelines

> Define deal stages, reporting milestones, and automatic card movement

Open **Settings > Pipelines** to configure Connect opportunity stages. Owner or Admin access is required to make changes.

## Create a pipeline or stage

If several pipelines exist, choose the one to edit. Use **+ Pipeline**, enter **Name**, and select **Create pipeline** for a different stage sequence.

Stages are grouped into **In progress** and **Done**. Select the plus beside a group to add a stage:

| Field | Purpose |
| - | - |
| Stage name | The label shown on the opportunity board. |
| Stage description | An explanation, up to 200 characters. |
| Stage appearance | The stage's icon and color. |
| Tracks as | For In progress stages: lead, qualified, booked, showed, or none. |
| Outcome | For Done stages: Won or Lost. |

Select **Create**. Stage names do not determine funnel reporting; **Tracks as** does. Choosing none excludes the stage from funnel milestone reporting.

## Edit, reorder, or remove stages

Use **Edit > Save** to change a stage. Its existing In progress/Done category and outcome cannot be changed in that editor.

Drag the reorder handle to change order within a group. Order saves immediately.

**Delete** archives a stage from the active pipeline while preserving opportunity history. You cannot remove the sole Lead stage; add another Lead stage first.

## Move cards automatically

Enable **Enable automatic stage movement** and choose a destination for each rule:

* Form says qualified
* Form says needs triage
* Form says disqualified
* Books a call
* Books a call while in triage

Each rule offers **Don't move** or an In progress stage. Booking while in triage overrides the general booking rule. Automatic moves do not move cards backward.

Set **Leave hand-moved cards alone for** in minutes. The default is 1,440 minutes, or 24 hours; the maximum is 43,200 minutes. Rules save on each change, without a Save button.

Switching automatic movement off stops card moves; incoming events can still create opportunities.
