# Persona

> Generate an AI-powered brand-wide customer persona from your Brand Codex

Persona generates a brand-wide customer profile based on your Brand Codex. It describes your ideal customer's demographics, psychology, behaviors, pain points, and motivations — giving you and your team a shared understanding of who you're marketing to.

  You must complete your [Brand > Codex](/modules/brand/codex) before generating a persona. If no brand profile exists, the page will prompt you to create one.

## How to generate your persona

  <Step title="Go to Think > Persona">
    Open the **Think** module from the sidebar and select **Persona**.

  <Step title="Click Generate Persona">
    Click the **Generate Persona** button in the top right corner. A processing animation will appear while AI works. The status badge shows PROCESSING with a pulsing animation.

  <Step title="Read the persona report">
    When processing completes, the persona report appears on the page as a formatted document. It includes the created date and completed date at the top.

## What you can do with your persona

* **Copy** — Click **COPY** in the top right to copy the full persona report to your clipboard.
* **Download** — Click **DOWNLOAD** to export the persona as a PDF.
* **Regenerate** — Click the generate button again to refresh the persona with your latest Brand Codex data. Your previous persona will be replaced.

## Persona vs. Avatars

Your brand persona and offer-specific avatars serve different purposes:

## Tips

* **Complete your Codex first.** The more detail in your Brand Codex, the more accurate your persona will be.
* **Regenerate after major Codex changes.** If you update your brand profile significantly, regenerate the persona to keep it current.
* **Share the PDF.** Download and distribute the persona to your team so everyone is aligned on who you're targeting.
