Codex is a structured questionnaire (58 questions across 10 sections) that captures your brand’s identity, audience, positioning, and voice. AI uses your answers as context whenever it generates content for you.

How to complete your Codex

Go to Brand > Codex

Open the Brand module from the sidebar and select Codex.

Enter your Brand Name

Fill in the Brand Name field at the top of the page. This is required.

(Optional) Run AI analysis

Click Refresh Info to open a pop-up where you can:
  • Enter a website URL for AI to scrape and analyze
  • Upload documents (PDF or DOCX) with existing brand materials
  • Or both at the same time
  • Download an offline template — click the “Need help getting started? Download our template” link at the bottom of the pop-up to reveal a download button. Get a pre-formatted Word (.docx) file with all 58 questions, fill it out offline, then upload the completed file here to have AI extract your answers.
A full-screen processing animation will appear while AI works. This can take a few minutes.

Review and complete your answers

Work through all 10 sections. If you used AI analysis, review the pre-filled answers and adjust them to be accurate.Use the progress sidebar on the right to:
  • See your overall completion percentage (color-coded from red to green)
  • See per-section progress
  • Click any section name to jump to it

Save your work

Click Save Codex when you’re done. A yellow banner will appear if you have unsaved changes.Your answers are also backed up to your browser’s local storage, so you won’t lose work if you close the tab accidentally.

(Optional) Export

Click Download PDF to export your completed Codex. You must enter a Brand Name before downloading.

Tips

  • Be specific. The more detailed your answers, the better AI replicates your voice in generated content.
  • Don’t rush. Your Codex is the foundation for all AI content. Take time on each answer.
  • Review AI suggestions carefully. They’re a starting point — edit them to reflect your actual brand.
  • Update quarterly. Revisit your Codex as your business, market, and audience evolve.
